Phoebe Greenland is an award-winning composer from England, UK and a scholar of The Royal College Of Music, where she is currently studying Composition For Screen. Phoebe writes romantic orchestral melodies and experiments with electronic layers found in techno and dance music.

In 2021, Phoebe received the Alliance for Women Film Composers mentorship prize with the Marvin Hamlisch Awards, Queen’s College NY, and is mentored by Sharon Farber. Phoebe has written for short films, including Death Skateboards’ latest House of Vans premiere, commercials for brands such as Michael Hill, as well as theatre projects, including original songs and soundtrack for a production of Alice in Wonderland, performed at Wickham Theatre, Bristol. Most recently, she has written podcast soundtracks for professionals in health and well-being, as well as her own contemporary concert pieces.

Phoebe received her degree in Music from Cardiff University, where she focused on contemporary composition, studio techniques, ethnomusicology and performance. During her time there, she was introduced to West African percussion and performed with many well renowned artists including Dele Sosimi's Afrobeat Orchestra. This gave Phoebe a rich understanding of international music and dance forms. She has since supported artists across London, including those of Roundhouse, as a producer, pianist and singer. Phoebe has also performed solo and ensemble classical pieces across the UK, including a world premiere of a newly discovered piece, “No Ja Li” by Claude Debussy.

Phoebe grew up completely in love with film music and exploring sounds on her Nana’s Victorian piano. She thrives on discovering new ways to make sound and speaking with wonderful musicians and creatives all over the world. Today, Phoebe lives in London where she continues to write, produce and DJ.
